Here is Northern Idaho, snow skiing is big stuff when the snow starts to fly.  We have several large ski resorts within a 100 mile radius that give any level of skiing enthusiast a great place to spend the day or weekend.  Many of our resorts get well over 10 feet of snow at the summit over the winter time and the snow often lasts into May, giving the skier an extra long skiing season.  Resorts like Mount Spokane, Schweitzer Ski Resort, Silver Mountain Resort and 49 Degrees North offer not only a great day of skiing, but many other ammenties such as lodging, fine dining and a variety of activities for the entire family.
