Hiking in the mountains of Northern Idaho where Clearwater Cabin Living was created, has been a passion of mine for many years beginning with my childhood and time spent with my Grandfather. With its bountiful lakes, rivers and streams, the areas surrounding us give the avid explorer more than enough places to hike than one can imagine. Many of the lakes and streams are tucked backed deep into the wilderness. The pictures on this Hiking and Backing page are examples of one such a lake named Revett Lake. This prestine, crystal clear little lake is nestled about two miles off the main road at the top of Thompson Pass on the Idaho and Montana border. We found this lake and many others like it in a book I highly recommend by Rich Landers entitled: 100 Hikes in the Inland Northwest: Eastern Washington, Northern Rockies, Wallowas (100 Hikes in the Inland Northwest)
